APPLICATION DESIGN BRIEF

Smart Retail Store

Specify store inventory around the operator task: count a shelf, locate an item or reconcile stock. Each task needs a clear boundary and a record owner.

Smart Retail Store

Choose the observation workflow

A handheld stock check and a fixed cabinet have different movement and coverage requirements. Describe where the operator works, what items can be reached and which stock belongs in each count.

Keep stock changes accountable

Define how incoming stock, transfers, returns and damaged tags update the business record. A tag observation should not silently resolve an inventory discrepancy without the relevant reconciliation step.

Evaluate representative merchandising

Use the actual fixtures, packaging and stock density. Check both the required shelf and neighboring goods, and record the time and operator steps needed for a repeatable count.

Turn the application into a project brief.

Start with the exact item or vehicle you need to identify, its movement and the surrounding materials. Define what a valid observation means to your application, then evaluate the hardware and software together.

  • Inventory task and record ownership
  • Fixtures and packaging samples
  • Neighboring-stock isolation
  • Transfers, returns and discrepancies

Use the deployment checklist to organize your pilot.
